Know your design pressures before the plan reviewer does.
Paste your opening schedule. Get the design pressure every opening needs at that exact address, checked against the sizes real product approvals were tested to. Free, unlimited, and no account needed to see the answer.
Built for a forty-opening schedule.
Real jobs have forty openings, and the work is building the schedule. That’s what this does.
The wind speed at that address
Not a county-wide guess.
Basic wind speed comes from the ASCE 7-22 Risk Category II contours published through Florida’s own public GIS data, resolved to the coordinates you enter. Florida Building Code county overrides are applied on top (Miami-Dade at 175 mph, Broward and Collier at 170), and High-Velocity Hurricane Zone status is read from the county, because HVHZ is a jurisdiction, not a wind speed.
Pressure per opening, both directions
Windows fail outward. Doors fail inward.
Components and Cladding pressures are computed per opening, with the external pressure coefficient varying by effective wind area, so a large slider and a small single hung don’t get the same number. Inward and outward are tracked separately, because a single “max DP” figure hides the constraint that actually governs a door.
Screened against tested sizes
Where permit packages actually get rejected.
Each opening is checked against a maintained library of product approvals: the size each product was tested to and the rating it holds at that size, not just the headline rating. When something does not clear, you are told which direction governs and by how many psf, so the conversation is about glass and reinforcement rather than a bare red flag.

Unlimited wind load checks
Design pressure for every opening, inward and outward. We never meter the calculation.
Catalog product matching
Approved products that fit each opening, read from their own NOA or FL#.
Saved projects
Every check saved with the project it belongs to.
Progress tracking
Where each project stands, from the first check to permit.

A preliminary screening, not an engineering deliverable. Have a Florida-licensed professional engineer validate design pressures before they go into a permit package.
Before you run it.
Can I submit the results for permit?
No. The calculator follows ASCE 7-22 with Florida Building Code county overrides, and it is built by people who prepare these packages for a living, but it is a preliminary screening, not an engineering deliverable. Have design pressures validated by a Florida-licensed professional engineer before they go into a package. Florida adopts the model codes by reference on a lag, and Miami-Dade and Broward amend locally, so treat the output as a well-sourced starting point, never as a compliance certificate.
What if a result surprises me?
That’s worth a conversation. It usually means an assumption about exposure, height or enclosure needs checking, and that check costs far less now than after a rejection. Talk to us →
Do I need an account?
Not to see results. They appear in full, with nothing held back behind an email. Create a free account when you want to keep a project, download the report or carry it into an estimate.
Will there be tools for other trades?
Yes. The wind load calculator is the first, and we plan one per trade. Tell us what you need. Suggest a tool →
